An Analysis of Factors Influencing the Compliance to Treatment of Pulmonary Tuberculosis Patients Through Family Resilience

Background: Family holds an important role in the care of patient’s health against a disease or illness. The majority pulmonary TB (tuberculosis) patients have poor social support systems and compliance. Problems with impact on families family unpreparedness, lack knowledge about tuberculosis, discrimination (stigma) are some factors that need to be considered. resilience model improve compliance carrying out treatment programs still requires further study. Research Objectives: To develop as effort for patients. Methods: This study adopted cross-sectional design. It was conducted work areas Puskesmas Surabaya City from August December 2019. A sample containing 160 respondents calculated using Rule Thumb formula, multistage random sampling technique. variables included: 1) individual factors: age, gender, education, knowledge, position patient family, personal motivation, 2) type, structure, function, 3) support, stigmas, 4) stressors, including loss, illness care, tension, 5) stress, depression, anxiety, 6) 7) problem solving coping skills, 8) resilience, survival, adaptation, acceptance, growing stronger, helping others, 9) belief, susceptibility, severity, barriers, benefits, cues action self-efficacy, 10) medication included BTA conversion results.
